Generation Services
Duke Energy Generation Services, Inc. (DEGS) and its affiliates develop, own and operate electric generation for large energy consumers, municipalities, utilities and industrial facilities. We currently manage approximately 4,500 megawatts of power generation at 27 facilities throughout the United States. DEGS has an additional 200 megawatts of wind energy under construction, and an additional 5,000 megawatts of wind energy projects in the pipeline.
We specialize in developing innovative and environmentally sound generation solutions to meet your energy needs using a diverse mix of fuels, including natural gas, coal, waste coal, biomass, as well as wind and other renewable sources.
