Overview
Duke Energy Generation Services joined SUEZ Energy and USFilter Operating Inc. to design, build and operate a central utilities complex to provide utility services to the General Motors Assembly Plant in Shreveport, La. Services include electricity distribution, hot and chilled water, building and process heat, compressed air and water/wastewater services. The central utilities complex incorporates a number of innovations to provide state-of-the-art efficiency and environmental benefits.
The Shreveport plant produces the popular Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon pickup truck and the H3 Hummer SUV.
