Overview
Duke Energy Generation Services (DEGS), in a joint venture with SUEZ Energy, entered into an agreement with Lafarge Corporation to provide an innovative 5.2 megawatt combined heat and power system that achieves over 96 percent efficiency. The project, designed by DEGS, reduces the amount of fuel consumed to produce on-site heat and power. The reduced fuel also means reduced environmental pollutants.
Lafarge Corporation supplies cement, concrete and aggregates, gypsum wallboard and other materials used for residential, commercial, institutional and public works construction.
