Duke Energy Generation Services is currently developing a new 150 MW wind-power facility located in Ector and Winkler Counties, Texas.
The first phase of the project is expected to be operational in late 2008 or early 2009. This 90 MW phase includes 55 Vestas turbines that operate 1.65 MWs each.
The second phase operates forty 1.5 MW General Electric turbines and is slated for operation in 2009. This phase accounts for 60 MWs of the 150 MW wind turbine facility.
