Overview
Duke Energy Generation Services developed a new 42 MW windpower facility west of Cheyenne in Laramie County, Wyoming. The twenty Suzlon turbines will operate at 2.1 MWs each.
The Silver Sage Windpower project is located adjacent to the existing Duke Energy Generation Services Happy Jack Windpower project.
The Silver Sage project will sell 71.5 percent (30 MW) of its clean, renewable energy to Black Hills Corporation under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The remaining 28.5 percent (12 MW) will be purchased by the Platte River Power Authority.
